Open Seat
Open Seat is a place where we gather to discuss the glory of God revealed in the NewTestament by studying the original Greek in which it was written. We hope to bridge the gap of scholarship surrounding the study of Koine Greek, and as we host these conversations, we hope to demonstrate the beauty of the Bible's original languages. To all who are interested, take a seat with us and join the conversation today!

Episode 19: The Four Loves
Today's Episode
Welcome to the Open Seat podcast! On today's episode, we conduct a word study on the four different words for love in the Koine Greek language. We discuss the differences between the four types of love, examples of where they occur in the Bible, and why it is helpful to have four different words for love. We also set the stage for next week when we will get to discuss the famous phrase, "God is love." We look forward to next week and hope you'll tune in!
Our Mission
We recognize that the Bible was written in languages full of richness and beauty. Our goal is to explore the beauty of the New Testament, written in Koine Greek, that can sometimes become obscured in English translations. We desire to bridge the gap of scholarship and make these conversations about Biblical Greek accessible to all curious people. Whether you have studied Greek for years or you are embarking on this journey today, all are welcome to take a seat at the Table.
