Open Seat
Open Seat is a place where we gather to discuss the glory of God revealed in the NewTestament by studying the original Greek in which it was written. We hope to bridge the gap of scholarship surrounding the study of Koine Greek, and as we host these conversations, we hope to demonstrate the beauty of the Bible's original languages. To all who are interested, take a seat with us and join the conversation today!

Episode 18: Discerning Spirits and Truth - 1 John 4:1-6 with Chase Karraker
Today's Episode
Welcome to the Open Seat podcast! On today's episode, we welcome special guest and friend, Chase Karraker. Chase works in the Residence Life office at Colorado Christian University and is passionate about psychology and music. Together we discuss the beginning of chapter 4 of 1 John, discussing the spiritual world and how we know the spirit of truth. We also contrast the voice of God with the voice of the world and find encouragement knowing that "he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world."
Our Mission
We recognize that the Bible was written in languages full of richness and beauty. Our goal is to explore the beauty of the New Testament, written in Koine Greek, that can sometimes become obscured in English translations. We desire to bridge the gap of scholarship and make these conversations about Biblical Greek accessible to all curious people. Whether you have studied Greek for years or you are embarking on this journey today, all are welcome to take a seat at the Table.
